Ownership and how our images are made
All images on plantcarebasics.com are produced by and for plantcarebasics.com. Many are created with the assistance of AI image-generation tools and are then selected, cropped, composited, captioned, and arranged by our team to illustrate our plant-care guides.
We claim rights in our own creative contribution — the selection and arrangement of images, the text and design composited onto them, our brand marks, our captions, and the surrounding editorial work. We do not assert copyright in raw AI model output standing alone.
What you may do
You may view our pages and share links to them freely. You may reproduce a single image for non-commercial, editorial reference only if you both: (a) credit it clearly as “Image courtesy of plantcarebasics.com” immediately next to the image, and (b) include a visible, clickable link back to the original page on plantcarebasics.com where the image appears.
What you may not do without our written permission
- Use any image for commercial purposes, advertising, or any paid product or service.
- Redistribute, resell, sublicense, or offer our images for download anywhere else.

Care cards and print copies
The one-page care cards and their A4 print copies that we email to subscribers are our own work: the text, the selection and arrangement of the information, the design, and our brand marks.
You may keep a care card on your phone, print it for use at home, and share the whole, unaltered card free of charge with friends, family and in groups. Please share it complete, with the web address, the QR code and the copyright line left in place.
Without our written permission you may not sell a care card or charge for it, alter it or present it as your own, use it for commercial purposes or advertising, remove the web address, QR code or copyright line, or use it to train or develop machine-learning or AI systems.
How to license an image or request permission
For any commercial use, any bulk use, or any use beyond the limited permission described above, you must obtain written permission from us first. Please contact us and include the image URL together with a short description of how you intend to use it. We review every request individually.
